Unyimeabasi Udoh (b. 1996, Chapel Hill, USA) is a London-based Nigerian American artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Working at the intersection of sign and symbol, Udoh explores questions of legibility, perception, and the construction of meaning through a visual language informed by urban infrastructure, everyday vernacular, and canonical iconography alongside the visual tapestries of sea, sky and land. Building on the traditions of Post-Minimalism and Post-Conceptual Art, Udoh’s work frequently invokes absence, the void, and deferred meaning, transforming everyday visual codes into meditations on ambiguity and the absurdity of language.
