Founded in 2023 in London by Celeste Baracchi, Alma Pearl is a contemporary art gallery devoted to exhibiting the work of artists mid-career and emerging who, through the qualities of their work and practice, deserve greater exposure. In its first years, Alma Pearl has granted young artists their first exhibition opportunities while also highlighting the work of overlooked artists both within and beyond the gallery roster. At the core of its inception is an aim to reposition a gallery as a conduit for community building, both amongst artists and at a local and global level.
Alongside exhibitions, our programme includes talks, lectures, screenings and other events which represent the animating core of our programming activities.
In 2025 we launched Alma Pearl Editions, a platform for contextual exploration, which offers insight into artists’ practices through essays, conversations, visual documentation, and further creative outputs. Issues are published on an ad hoc basis.
